Hi, my name's Ricky, firstly, I have a stargazer download to share with you all, you can get it by clicking here, and I am also here to tell about a great passion of mine, which I share with you in astronomy and stargazing. Many many wonderful things can be seen in the night sky and to the untrained eye they all look the same, they all look like points of light we call "stars".

Lets not forget that our sun is a star and we, along with the other planets in our solar system orbit that star and when we look up at other stars, what we are looking at is other sun's that too have planetary systems similar to ours.

We can see, by looking up at the sky at night, all these similar sized, similar brightness objects, or so they appear to the naked eye, but refer to my stargazer download and you will notice that you can also see planets that are in our solar system just with the naked eye, it's great fun picking which of these stars are actually our neighbouring planets and look closer with a pair of binoculars or a telescope and you may even be able to pick out they're moons or even satellites that us humans have launched to investigate their territories.

If you are just starting out with your new hobby, I recommend you start out by getting yourself a copy of my stargazer download and get out there and start exploring, I will be going into more and more detail in the coming weeks and bringing you some of the unmissable astronomical events before they happen and some great deep space objects to find to occupy your curious minds.

Until then, clear skies.
